Our History

Established in 2003, Tessonics Corporation was launched with support from Daimler Chrysler and the University of Windsor. Initially, Tessonics provided advanced ultrasonic imaging solutions to the automotive industry. As of today, Tessonics has established footholds in the aviation and automotive industries, in addition to government contracts. Our research team is busy bringing new ultrasonic technologies to meet industrial manufacturing requirements.

Electromechanical Engineer/Technician

POSITION SUMMARY:

  • Provide technical field service to customers and repair equipment as necessary
  • Provide assistance in the assembly process of ultrasonic NDE equipment
  • Improve the quality and enhance the performance of electronics systems on existing and future products
  • Design, develop, debug and document analog digital and mixed signal circuits and systems
  • Assist in the development of PCBs
  • Create bills of materials, production documentation and operations manuals as required
  • Assist in the development and implementation of firmware and control algorithms
  • Participate in design reviews and cooperate with other team members on various projects
  • Communicate with business partners - customers, suppliers, internal team members to ensure products meet customers’ requirements, and the design is fully compatible with internal and public standards
  • Evaluate existing and new emerging technologies: propose any new technology or system that would improve the margins or enhance the performance of any product
  • Arrange and participate in testing of all electronics systems in line with the design process

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • B.SC. in electrical engineering or a related engineering degree from a recognized university, college diploma, or equivalent education and experience
  • Must be able to travel to the United States and on occasion internationally
  • Must be able to work at plants, providing demonstration, testing, and support for the Tessonics products

ADDITIONAL ASSETS:

  • Strong hands-on experience with design and testing of analogue digital and mixed signal circuits
  • Programming of micro-controllers
  • Good experience in PCB design
  • Analogue circuit design and knowledge in electromagnetic capability
  • Knowledge of control theory and its applications in modern electronics
  • Understanding of various electrical components, including motor drives, power supplies, amplifiers, controllers, etc.
  • Mechanical knowledge a definite asset
  • Use of laboratory equipment, environment, and in-field test equipment
  • Experience with systems with onboard DSP, high-performance ADC and DAC, FPGA, interface controllers, and ultrasonic pulsers and receivers
